180° South

I am going to see 180° South tonight at La Paloma Theatre. I have been excited to see this film ever since I heard that it was being made. The film is inspired by Yvon Chouinard's 1968 road trip to Patagonia. Directed by and appearing in the film are the Malloy Brothers. With a soundtrack filled with tunes by James Mercer (The Shins), Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse), Jack Johnson and Mason Jennings you really can't go wrong.

World Cup Starts in 20 Days!

I am psyched for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The 2006 World Cup found me taking extended lunches at the local pubs cheering on the amazing soccer that took place. I couldn't get enough of it. Hard to believe, but soccer is the most popular sport in the world. The USA is far behind Europe and the rest of the world in getting behind this great sport. Jump on the bandwagon folks, cause its going to be a wild ride of a tournament in South Africa.

With the series finale only days away, I only have a limited time left to proclaim my love for LOST. I want to shout it from the mountain tops. LOST is the greatest TV show ever! There it is... I said it. Never has a show created so much water cooler conversation. Every one who watches has their own theories and all the answers that will be answered will come to light on Sunday.

Ear Candy - The Silent Comedy

I just saw The Silent Comedy live for the first time this weekend. I caught their show at Beach to Brewery and was countless Karl Strauss pints deep by the time they went on. But now giving a sober listen it is confirmed... this band is Tyler approved sober as well as not-so sober. Side note... bitchin' mustaches only make the music better!
