Google Wave is Cool

I need to get more into Google Wave. Seems like the capabilities are endless. Great video on what it can possibly be and a recap of 2009.

Misinterpreted Artwork...

This gave me a good Tuesday chuckle. Hope it does the same for you. Hopefully you can read it. The below letter is a reply the teacher received the following day.

Ear Candy... James Mercer + Danger Mouse

James Mercer from The Shins and Danger Mouse have collaborated to create Broken Bells. This is the first single, "The High Road" off the upcoming album. Can't wait for this album!

You can check out their website www.brokenbells.com for a free download. Dig on it!

Ear Candy... Dead Man's Bones

Meg just turned me on to this band. Lovin' this "Pa Pa Power" song. Turn it up.

We Got That B Roll...

Maybe I am alone here, but I think this video is hilarious. Enjoy!

Best Dessert I Have Ever Tasted In My Entire Life!

So last night was Meg's birthday. We had an amazing night filled with dinner at The Prado in Balboa Park, then on to see How The Grinch Stole Christmas at The Old Globe Theatre. It was a nearly perfect night, but one thing was missing and that was dessert with a candle on top.

Extraordinary Desserts is our favorite dessert spot in SD, maybe anywhere! We went to the downtown location and started with White Hot Chocolates. Wowza! For dessert we ordered the Apple Croissant Bread Pudding. I'm not lying when I say this is The Best Dessert I Have Ever Tasted in My Entire Life! It was served with vanilla ice cream and a dipping sauce of a caramelly, creme, chocolatey goodness. Words just don't do it justice. You must try it! I know we'll be back.

I Spy: Shih Tzu Dressed as Elf

Tigger is really starting to get into the holiday spirit. He is so excited about his Elf hat, that he can barely contain it. Right after this picture was taken the lil' guy headed back to the toy workshop to work on some rush orders. Time is money Tigg!

Hangin' with my Gnomey

A few years ago, Meg and I gave this beautiful Gnome to my sister and bro in law as a gift. It's hard to tell from this angle, but his little satchel holds salt and pepper shakers. I know what you are thinking... what a perfectly unique and thoughtful gift. It's what we do!

So a few months after giving this gem of a gift, we were sneakily returned the Gnome. Ever since, the Gnome has become our little White Elephant gift. We have gotten very creative on how to pass the Gnome back to it's rightful owner. As the current holder of the Gnome, I am scheming on how to best deliver the package. The truth is, I have grown attached to the lil' traveler... but the game must go on. Erin & Noah - If you are reading this blog, prepare yourselves. You never know when the Gnome might end up on your doorstep.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas...

Christmastime is here, and I couldn't be happier about it. This is my favorite time of year. I am a sucker for holiday tunes, candy canes and pure jolliness. Our tree is decorated with ornaments the all tell a story. There are relics passed down from relatives, angels, Santas, Stewie on a spaceship, batman, homemade ornaments made from popsicle sticks, pictures, U.S.S. Enterprise, snowmen, and now the above owl.

Megan and I have a tradition of getting each other a new ornament every year. Meg has an affinity for owls, and this one caught her eye today. I am still on the hunt for my '09 ornament. I did see a mini turntable that played music today that tickled my fancy, but it didn't have that Je ne sais quoi that I desire. My search will continue.

Christmas cookies and high fives!

Breaking News from The Onion...

All I Want For Christmas...

Lemme start off by saying, yes... this really does exist. All I have ever wanted was a cuddle pillow, with built in arm channels and multi-levels. Look at how comfy those two lovebirds look. Looks like you could cuddle for hours without the pesky pins and needles setting in. As the official Armadillow website mentions, "Cuddling never felt so good." The clever nomenclature really seals the deal for me. Consider this baby on my list!

Ear Candy.... Ben Gibbard & Jay Farrar

I have been listening to Ben Gibbard & Jay Farrar album One Fast Move Or I'm Gone on repeat. The lyrics are based on Jack Kerouac's Big Sur. Which makes it all that much cooler. I think this album is Boss. Enjoy!

Meg Frolicking in Yosemite...

upload pictures

Just came across this photo sequence that I took of Meg in Yosemite Valley earlier this summer.

I Spy: Shih Tzu with Holiday Beanie

I am always fascinated by my surroundings. I Spy is my nostalgic look back at the oh so fun game of I Spy With My Little Eye. This is Tigger and he loves the holidays. Funny story, he put the hat on himself, then fell asleep.

No Better Time Than Now!

Life is Life and Kind is Kind blog is alive. I have been thinking about starting a blog for some time. Now seems like as good a time as any. The name for my blog is a quote taken from On The Road. The book has always resonated with me, as have all of Jack Kerouac's books.

This blog will be a creative outlet for me to post anything and everything that I think is swell. I don't know exactly what direction the blog will take, but I am excited to see where it goes. Cheers!
